Search Facility
The Server Express documentation includes a search function. To use
the search function you need Netscape Navigator 4.0 or later on UNIX platforms,
or Internet Explorer 5.0 or Netscape Navigator 4.0 or later on Windows
platforms. Your Web browser must be set up to run Java.
To search the documentation:
- Open the Master Index and Glossary, and click the Search
button in the left-hand frame. This opens a second browser window with a Java
search applet, into which you can enter search queries.
- Enter your search expression in Search For and click
Search. A list of chapters matching the search expression are displayed
below the Java applet.
- Click any of the hyperlinked search results to display the chapter.
Notes:
- Do not close the first browser window (the one containing the Master
Index and Glossary) while you are using the Search applet. Clicking on any
search result after you have closed the first browser window causes a browser
exception.
- If you are using Internet Explorer to access the documentation over
http, and get a Java exception when you try to start the search applet, upgrade
your browser to the latest version of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
You can get this from Microsoft's Web site.
- The Navigation Controls facility doesn't work with Internet Explorer 5.x and later, and with Netscape 6.x.
